🌟 Exciting Partnership Announcement! 🌟

We’re thrilled to announce a new collaboration between ICF Austin and the Texas Nurses Association to deliver a transformative coaching engagement!

This partnership brings together the expertise of ICF-certified coaches and the dedication of the TNA to empower its staff in their professional development journeys. Through tailored coaching sessions, we aim to:
✔️ Enhance leadership skills
✔️ Foster resilience in demanding healthcare environments
✔️ Support career growth and skill-building

At a time when healthcare professionals face unprecedented challenges, coaching provides a powerful tool to build confidence, achieve clarity, and create sustainable growth. Together, we’re investing in the well-being and development of those who work tirelessly to support the nursing community across Texas.

Congratulations to our team of talented, ICF-credentialed coaches for being selected to serve this wonderful cause! Thank you for being part of a community committed to creating positive change.

A big shoutout to our project steward, Marcia Rhode, and our TNA partner, Julia Menegay, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, for leading this amazing engagement, supported by Community Outreach Director, Sharanya Rao, CPCC, PCC!

Happy Lunar New Year to those who are celebrating! We wish you peace & prosperity for 2025.

We’re thrilled to also share some exciting news that marks a significant milestone for our chapter. ICF Austin has officially partnered with three incredible organizations that align with our mission to empower leaders and create meaningful change.

These partnerships expand our reach and create new opportunities for our members to make an impact in diverse industries and communities.

INTRODUCING NEW COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS FOR ICF AUSTIN:

1. 🎉SXSW

Founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas, SXSW® is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture.

Our collaboration is a fantastic opportunity to increase awareness of the transformative benefits of coaching and showcase the value of ICF-credentialed professionals to a diverse and global community of creative, technology and business entrepreneurs.

To kick off this partnership, at this year's conference, our Community Outreach Director, Sharanya Rao, will present at the Workplace Track, sharing insights on self-advocacy in the workplace, and one of our Outreach Committee members, Bikram Gupta, will serve as a mentor, offering pro bono laser coaching to start up and tech leaders navigating challenges.

2. 🎉Texas Nurses Association

TNA is a statewide membership-based professional, volunteer-driven association of licensed nurses. Founded in 1907, TNA is the most inclusive nursing association in Texas and the largest state nursing association in the country dedicated to advancing excellence in nursing.

Together, we’ll deliver a coaching engagement designed to support TNA staff in their professional growth and resilience.

This initiative highlights the powerful impact of coaching in enhancing leadership, fostering collaboration, and driving personal and professional development. Through this collaboration, we’re not only elevating the coaching profession but also contributing to the well-being and success of the dedicated professionals who support Texas nurses.

ICF Austin members can register here to volunteer for 1:1 coaching opportunities: https://icfaustin.org/event-6047689

3. 🎉 Allies Against Slavery

AAS is an anti-trafficking nonprofit using data, technology, and partnerships to combat exploitation. With their screening software Lighthouse, case managers, advocates, and other field professionals are able to effectively identify victims and provide them with the best possible care. Lighthouse then aggregates statewide data, trends, and insights in one place to help field professionals, leaders, and policy-makers better serve trafficking survivors. Allies now has the most extensive data set on trafficking in Texas, enabling us to predict who is vulnerable to trafficking, why, and what can be done in their community to build resilience.

In collaboration, we’ll leverage coaching to support the staff at AAS in their advocacy efforts and empower those working tirelessly to combat human trafficking.

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Girls Empowerment Network (GEN) for a coaching engagement! We couldn't be more proud to support this incredible organization whose mission is to ignite the power in girls by teaching them the skills to thrive and believe in their ability to be unstoppable. Our coaches will be partnering with the GEN staff to provide 6 months of pro bono coaching to support them in increasing their impact even further.

We are also thrilled that this project has been accepted as an ICF IGNITE project. ICF IGNITE is an initiative by the International Coaching Federation Foundation to leverage the collective power of ICF chapters, members and credential-holders to accelerate positive impact on humanity and the planet. Our project is in line with this year's focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Gender Equality.

After a competitive selection, we are happy to announce that our bench of ICF-credentialed coaches are Amanda Duarte, PCC, NBC-HWC, Diane Dean MA, MCC, Charles Fielder, Emaan Mahmood, Misty Helm Chadwick, PCC, Nicole Davies, PCC, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Nikki Moriarty, PCC, Renée (Mills) Lilley, ICF ACC, Sheila Armitage, Ph.D., ACC and Traci Callandrillo, Ph.D., ACC. Our March Spotlight will focus on our ICF Greater Austin Virtual Coaching Conversations facilitated by our Director of Membership, Phil Soloninka.

What are the Virtual Coaching Conversations?

Great question! Every session tends to be a bit different depending on the audience of the day - some days we have Coaches who are a bit newer to the profession and we focus on topics such as best business practices, strategies to gain clients, and general support. Other times we focus on coaching tools and platforms, and sometimes we just ride the vibe of the room and have a question and answer back and forth dialogue.

When are the Virtual Coaching Conversations?

We meet on the 2nd Friday of every month for about an hour on Zoom between 12 and 1pm.
