Ethiopian Quality Award Assessment Conducted at MIDROC Gold Mine
The Ethiopian Quality Award assessment has been conducted at MIDROC Gold Mine PLC, with the assessment team led by Mr. Tewodros Mebrat, Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Quality Award.
The assessment team was warmly welcomed by the General Manager and members of the MIDROC Gold Mine management team at the company’s Shakiso Office.
During the assessment, the team reviewed key areas of the company’s performance, including:

🔹 Human resource management and employee development
🔹 Occupational health and safety
🔹 Workplace sanitation and hygiene
🔹 Environmental management
🔹 Operational standards and process management
🔹 Quality management and continuous improvement
🔹 Customer, community, and stakeholder relations
🔹 Innovation and performance measurement
The assessment team conducted question-and-answer sessions with MIDROC Gold Mine management to evaluate the company’s performance, achievements, management systems, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
In addition to management discussions and document reviews, the team visited different working areas to physically verify the implementation of organizational standards and practices. The team visited the open-pit mining operation, underground mining operations, and the Metallurgy Department, among other operational areas.
The EQA assessment reflects MIDROC Gold Mine’s commitment to organizational excellence, continuous improvement, effective management, quality performance, and the pursuit of higher standards.
